El traje rosa con el que las ‘celebrities’ recuerdan a las estadounidenses que ellas decidirán las elecciones
‘La ambición te queda bien’ es el lema de la campaña
En los últimos días, Instagram se ha llenado de fotos de mujeres que visten un llamativo traje pantalón de color rosa intenso. Las imágenes suelen ir acompañadas de mensajes que animan a las estadounidenses a participar de forma masiva en las elecciones presidenciales del 3 de noviembre.
Detrás están la firma de ropa Argent (una de las favoritas de Hilllary Clinton), y la organización por los derechos de las mujeres Supermajority. Hace unas semanas ambas pusieron en marcha una campaña titulada Ambition suits you (La ambición te queda bien), centrada en el hecho de que las mujeres representan más de la mitad del electorado en Estados Unidos y, por tanto, su voto puede decantar las elecciones hacia un lado u otro. “Para todas las personas que dicen que nuestra ambición es un mal estilo: acéptenlo. Las mujeres son la fuerza más poderosa de Estados Unidos. Somos la mayoría de la población y de los votantes de este país y determinaremos el resultado de estas elecciones”, aseguran.
La marca ha lanzado la colección Election, que incluye el famoso traje, además de una camiseta y un pack de pins que animan al voto. El 10% de las ventas se destinarán a apoyar los programas de empoderamiento femenino de Supermajority. “Este noviembre, aprovecharemos nuestro poder colectivo para transformar este país y nos aseguraremos de que nuestros líderes pongan en primer término y en el centro nuestras necesidades, porque juntas somos imparables”, dice la web donde se venden la colección.
Para dar a conocer a conocer la iniciativa, han contando con la inestimable ayuda de un buen puñado de celebridades que han compartido sus imágenes posando con las prendas de Election. La primera fue la actriz Kerry Washington, que el pasado 16 de octubre publicó en Instagram una serie de fotos con el traje. “Estoy con todas las mujeres que valientemente y sin pedir disculpas votan para hacer que nuestras voces sean escuchadas en las cuestiones y los valores que nos importan”, escribió.
